From Dropout to Data Leader
Now I turn data into decisions and stories into strategy.
Now I turn data into decisions and stories into strategy.
I didn’t always feel connected to education. For a long time, it felt like it didn’t have room for someone like me. A 90s cybersecurity thriller (The Net) sparked my curiosity, and with time and persistence, that spark became a calling.
Growing up gay in India, I learned early on how to shrink myself to stay safe. I dropped out of college and was nearly written off entirely. At one point, I had to pretend I could "conform" just to avoid being institutionalized. I never did conform—but I did rise above expectations. I returned to school, graduated with distinction, and eventually crossed continents to earn my Master’s in Computer Science in the U.S. Now, I’m pursuing a PhD.
Since then, I’ve built AI strategies for universities, developed data systems for healthcare, HR, and credit rating firms, mentored students, and led discussions—including the awkward Zoom panels that, despite it all, made a real impact.
Whether I’m in a classroom, a boardroom, or facilitating conversations across teams, my guiding belief remains the same: Technology can scale what matters—but culture is what makes it meaningful.
This site is part of that journey—rooted in resilience, informed by data, and always driven by people (and plenty of post-it notes).

I’m a data and AI strategy leader who went from college dropout to award-winning platform builder—through resilience, curiosity, and a drive to solve real problems. With experience spanning higher education, tech, and the nonprofit sector, I specialize in transforming messy data into meaningful, human-centered systems. Whether I’m advising on ethical AI or designing analytics tools that drive action, my goal is simple: empower people, improve outcomes, and turn transformation into a tangible, sustainable strategy.
I bring a combination of technical expertise and human-centered leadership—more translator of complexity than data robot. My strength lies in building scalable analytics ecosystems, guiding ethical AI integration, and ensuring that data strategies truly align with institutional goals. I’ve led cross-functional teams, facilitated alignment across diverse stakeholders, and helped executives make sense of complex systems—without relying on buzzwords or endless diagrams. From predictive modeling and data architecture to storytelling, policy, and change management, I turn good data into great decisions.
I’ve led high-impact, cross-sector projects—from helping faculty identify at-risk students to combating counterfeit pharmaceuticals and detecting malicious Android apps. My approach is grounded in the belief that data should drive action, not just analysis.
At the core of this work is uHoo Analytics—an award-winning, faculty-centered platform adopted by over 500 educators to support student success through real-time insights. Beyond education, I’ve designed predictive models across healthcare, HR, and credit risk, consistently turning complex data into strategic decisions.
